About the Author

A most unflattering picture of me on the plane to Germany

Hello! In case you couldn't tell, this page is here for the explicit purpose of telling you (the reader) about me (the author). Personally, I like to know a little about the people who write the books I read, so I thought I'd go ahead and let you know know a little about the person who writes the books on this blog.

So, where to start?

I am a homeschooled teenager who is the oldest of seven kids. There you go, that's all you really need to know, right?

No?

Fine, I'll go on.

I think I was making banana pudding...

I was born in New York but now live in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia and I really would love to live here for the rest of my life. I love love love running and soccer. Blue is my favorite color. I am more than likely the worst gardener you will ever meet. I like dogs but not so much cats (sorry not sorry cat people!). History is seriously the best. I do not like math or science. I do like cooking and baking (ironic how those both use math and science, right?). I take my coffee black. I've been to Germany, Canada, and France (only the Paris airport though). I mime. I go to Youth Group. I used to do ballet (didn't really work out) and gymnastics (see note on ballet).

My little sister changed the colors on this one

But that's enough about non-bookish stuff.

As far as reading and writing go, I love them both! I literally cannot remember a time that I didn't want to be an author. My favorite genres to read are historical fiction, some science fiction, and fantasy. Favorite genres to write are basically the same. As of the starting of this blog, I have written one full novel and am close to the end of a second.

That sounds like enough deep dark secrets for now, so I guess all that's left to say is, enjoy!

Atlanta airport - don't we look energetic?
